Free Marketing Agency Quote Template & Generator
A marketing quote fails when the reader cannot tell your fee from the money passing through you. This one splits a campaign into strategy, creative production, and management fees, states the deliverable counts behind each, then lists media spend and creator fees separately as estimated pass-through costs the client pays directly. It names the campaign period, the channels, the reporting cadence, and the approval limit that governs moving budget between them.

What to include in a marketing agency quote
Send a client one number covering fees and media and you have created two problems that both land on you. The finance side reads the whole figure as your invoice and prices your work at three times what you charge, which poisons the renewal. The delivery side has no baseline: when the CFO asks in month two what the agency produced, nobody can point at a count, because "social content" is not a quantity. Separating a $22,900 fee from $30,000 of platform spend and $4,500 of creator costs, with 12 statics and 4 videos named on the creative line, means the monthly report has something to reconcile against and the budget conversation is about media performance rather than your rate.

How to make a marketing agency quote in 6 steps
Open the quote generator
Start from this page so the quote opens with fields and sample lines already set up for marketing agencies and independent strategists. No account is needed to create or preview.
Enter both parties
Add your business name, address and contact details, then the customer name and address exactly as they should appear on the record.
Add the marketing agency lines
Replace each sample line with the real work or goods. Make sure the document shows campaign period and channels, deliverable quantities, agency fee versus media spend.
Check the figures
Totals calculate as you type. Confirm quantities, rates, any tax line and the final total against your own records before you send anything.
Set the reference and dates
Give the quote a unique number and the correct date so it can be traced later and matched to related documents.

Worked example
A 90-day paid social and email launch, fees separated from media
Brightling & Co quotes Verrick Outdoor Gear on Sept 16, 2026 for an Oct 1 to Dec 31 launch campaign across Meta, TikTok, and email. Verrick's own ad accounts carry the media spend, so Brightling bills fees only and invoices creator costs at pass-through.
- Strategy: audience and channel plan, offer architecture, measurement plan (one-time, delivered by Oct 1)
- $3,500.00
- Creative production: 12 static ad concepts and 4 short-form videos, two revision rounds per asset
- $6,800.00
- Campaign management: 3 months at $4,200.00/month, covering build, daily pacing, and 6 email sends per month (18 across the campaign)
- $12,600.00
- Reporting: a written dashboard read every Monday and one 45-minute review call per month
- Included
- Agency fee payable to Brightling & Co (the three priced lines above)
- $22,900.00
- Media spend, estimated at $10,000.00/month, billed by the platforms to Verrick's own ad accounts
- $30,000.00
- Creator fees, estimated across 3 contracted creators, passed through at cost with receipts attached
- $4,500.00
- Software and tooling: campaign runs on Verrick's existing email platform and analytics, nothing added
- $0.00
- Total estimated program cost, fees plus estimated pass-through
- $57,400.00
- Invoicing: 50% of strategy and creative at signing, management billed monthly in advance
- $5,150.00 due Sept 30
The estimated lines are estimates and the quote says so. Brightling's fee is fixed at $22,900.00 whether Verrick spends $24,000 or $36,000 on media, and any reallocation of more than $2,000.00 between channels in a month needs written sign-off from Verrick's marketing director first.
When this document is the right choice
Use this quote to present a fixed proposed price before work begins. A quote is best when scope and price are defined. Use an estimate instead when hidden conditions or an unfinished scope can materially change the final cost.
Frequently asked questions
Should ad spend sit inside the quoted total or outside it?
Outside, on its own labeled line, and clearly marked as estimated. In the example the $30,000.00 is billed by Meta and TikTok directly to Verrick's own ad accounts, so it never touches Brightling's revenue and never inflates the apparent agency rate. If you do run spend through your own card, say so explicitly and state whether you add a handling percentage, because a client who later sees platform invoices that do not match your figure will assume the difference was margin you hid.
How do I quote a retainer that has no fixed deliverable count?
Attach the retainer to a scope of activity plus a cap, not to a vague promise of availability. The $4,200.00 monthly line in the example covers campaign build, daily pacing, and six email sends a month, which is checkable at the end of the month. Then name what falls outside: a new landing page, a second creative refresh, or a channel you did not quote. Without that boundary, a three-month retainer reliably absorbs work you would otherwise have quoted separately.
What approval limit should I put on moving budget between channels?
Set a dollar threshold rather than a percentage, and name the person who approves. The example uses $2,000.00 in a month, approved in writing by Verrick's marketing director. Below the threshold you can shift spend toward what is working without stopping to ask, which is most of the value of managing a campaign. Above it, the client decides. A written threshold also protects you when someone asks in December why TikTok got more than the plan showed.
The client wants to bring their own creators. Does that change my quote?
It changes the pass-through line, not your fee, but say which. If Verrick contracts the creators directly, the $4,500.00 estimate comes off the program total and you note that creator sourcing, briefing, and usage terms are now the client's responsibility. If you still brief and schedule them, keep a coordination fee on the agency side and drop only the cost line. The mistake is silently absorbing the coordination work because the money moved.
What access and assets should the quote require before an Oct 1 start?
List the dependencies with dates, the same way you list deliverables. A campaign that starts Oct 1 needs admin access on both ad accounts, the pixel and conversion events already firing and verified, a seat on the client's email platform, the product feed, and any brand assets the client controls. Put those on the quote as client responsibilities with a handoff date, and state your own approval window next to them, two business days on creative in most shops. When a launch slips because account access was never granted, the quote is the only place that shows the dependency was named before anyone lost a week of the flight.
