Flight, processing, and deliverables
Identify the project, site, capture date, flight or session, final photos or video, processing, mapping or modeling output, revision rounds, and license. Separate travel, authorization work, spotters, special equipment, rush delivery, and reshoots.
Weather, access, and licensing
Weather delays and airspace or site restrictions should follow the agreement. Do not bill an unapproved reshoot as ordinary capture. State the granted use and delivery formats on the invoice or referenced license so commercial clients understand what they purchased.
Frequently asked questions
How do drone photographers invoice a project?
List the site and date, capture session, final deliverables, editing or processing, travel, licensing, and any approved extras.
Should drone flight time be separate from editing?
Yes when they use different rates or help explain the scope. Many operators also use a fixed package with the included flight and deliverables stated clearly.
